THE 2030 AGENDA: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)

The 2030 Agenda constitutes the road map approved by the United Nations and ratified by all member states.

The Sustainable Development Goals have been not only included but it constitutes a great effort by the international community to create a set of objectives common to all the countries of the world, which would have to be achieved by 2030.

These objectives intend to address the systematic barriers that impede sustainable development, such as putting an end to poverty, protecting the planet, and guaranteeing the global well-being of people while leaving nobody behind.

The main FTH’s contribution in the framework of our TH Observatory Programme to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals is guaranteeing a healthy life and promoting universal well-being, quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth (SGDs number 3-4-5-8) as well as innovative partnerships for goals (SDG number 17).
